Feral Conservatives – Cat Song

by | Feb 24, 2018 | Guest Posts, Song of the Day

Hi. This is Fluffy. The cat. The Food Guy is very busy today and he doesn’t have time to do his Song of the Day. But he said that I could write about a song. I didn’t know what song to write about, so I asked the Food Guy and he suggested “Cat Song” by Feral Conservatives. That sounds like a good suggestion because I am, as I said, a cat.

“Cat Song” is about a nice Food Lady who likes her cat. Her cat takes care of her by greeting her at the door and following her around and kneading her stomach and helping her watch TV. They also share tuna, which is my favorite food. I do all of these things for my Food Guy and Food Lady. I help them watch football. I don’t understand some of the words that the Food Guy says about the Texans’ quarterbacks and head coach. I also bring my food people yarn. Everyone needs yarn. I’m glad the Food Lady in Feral Conservatives repaid her cat by writing this song.

I hope Feral Conservatives aren’t actually feral. Feral cats have a hard life. I would probably be a feral cat living on the street if my Food Guy hadn’t brought me home in a cardboard box when I was a kitten. I don’t remember where I lived before that. Now we both live with our Food Lady and are what people call “domesticated.” The Food Guy and I are happy that we are domesticated. We also live with our friend Milkshake, who was born in a stable. Milkshake is domesticated, too.

“Cat Song” is from the album Better Lives. Cats have nine lives. If one isn’t great, well, maybe the next one will be better. The Food Guy and I have a great life with our Food Lady, so we don’t have to worry about that. You can listen to, and download, Better Lives on Feral Conservatives’ Bandcamp page. You can also follow them on Facebook and on Twitter.

So that is my Song of the Day. I hope you like it, and I hope you buy the album so that the Food Lady who wrote the song will be able to buy her cat more tuna.
